New Badges from TrueBlue

New Badges for Classic Rewards

Without any real fanfare or official announcement, JetBlue recently released some new badges in the TrueBlue program. What's really left, though? You already get badges for visiting a city once, three times, and so on. There's already a badge for transferring referral points, many for social media, and even one for Thanksgiving Day.

These new badges are worth points and tie in very strong to the rewards one can get, so what are they?

The New Guys in Town

The new badges are based off of the portions of TrueBlue rewards that one would probably achieve on their way to Mosaic already - the Go Long bonus of getting 10,000 extra points for 10 one-way trips in a calendar year, for example.

These badges don't award any new points or qualifications, but do allow you to gain a badge towards a higher level when you do get them. They're a logical add to the TrueBlue badge program and show that JetBlue is still looking at ways to streamline it and has a dedicated, evolving concern in how it interacts with its customers. It's a strong sign that JetBlue wants to reward frequent flyers more, yet still not fall into the elitist way many other airlines separate their passengers. Many of these are attainable easily even for a casual flyer.

New TrueBlue Badges
The new badges are:

  • Go Long - Fly 10 one-way trips or 1,600 miles in a calendar year and earn 10,000 TrueBlue points.
  • Redeems Come True - Redeem your TrueBlue points for an award flight.
  • Redeem and Shout - Redeem your TrueBlue points for 3x award flights.
  • Dream It and Redeem It - Redeem your TrueBlue points for 6x award flights.
  • Award Winner - Redeem your TrueBlue points for 10 reward flights.
  • High Five  - Earn 5,000 points after 3 round trips in a calendar year.

The End...for Now

It'll be interesting to see if the lineup of badges keeps on changing as the airline rapidly grows, or if it stays relatively static. No word on if these badges can be achieved retroactively for this year, or even if they'll be automatically awarded in that case. Being early in the year it's unlikely most of these have been earned yet, but if you have any experience on this let me know!

Keep on earning the badges and grabbing the extra points that go with them, one of the easiest ways to earn reward points with or without flying actual flights!
