New TrueBlue Partners

More Ways to Earn TrueBlue Points

Seems like the past few months JetBlue has had a habit of making small changes to the TrueBlue program without any large announcements. This has left a bit of discontinuity between the featured partner programs and the badges - it'll be interesting to see if the two continue to get more out of sync or eventually even out.

Case and point - the Bloom Badge is for earning TrueBlue points via FTD purchases. FTD, however, is no longer listed as a partner to get points through - but now 1-800 Flowers is. Will they update the Bloom Badge? Will these types of partnerships always be rotating? I wish I knew.

1-800 Flowers

As mentioned above, 1-800 Flowers is the FTD replacement - and it's not a bad one either. Though you'll be missing out on the Bloom Badge, the deal is much better. By buying flowers through 1-800 Flowers via the JetBlue link, you can get 30 TrueBlue points per dollar spent. FTD only offered 20 points per dollar. It's an increase of 50%! And personally, after FTD seriously messed up my last three orders, I was sort of done with them anyways.

With Mothers Day right around the corner, it may be a great chance to give 1-800 Flowers a fair shot and get some TrueBlue points to boot! It seems as though this offer expires after May 12 as well - does that mean the points will be 20/$ like FTD was, or is this just a temporary partnership overall? We'll have to wait it out and see.

Voila

Voila is a hotel rewards program that targets  4 and 5 star independently owned hotels. The idea is that these hotels can offer some of the conveniences and perks of a rewards program without having to affiliate with a larger chain.

Conversions for Voila points to TrueBlue points.

Points can be transferred directly to JetBlue starting at 1,000  points, but you have to stay at least once to be able to do so. I was able to easily snag 1,000 points free with a little research - but they're not much use until I stay at one of their properties, which is unlikely. A niche add to the program, for sure.

Silver Airways

Silver Airways is now a JetBlue partner as well. When you add your TrueBlue number to your passenger details, you will earn 250 TrueBlue points per segment flown. This is a pretty small amount, especially given that it is for any flight regardless of cost or length.

I had never heard of Silver Airways until I saw them as a TrueBlue partner, but they seem to have a similar attitude towards customer service as JetBlue:

• Providing a safe, reliable, comfortable and above all – an enjoyable – flight experience
• Treating each customer with personalized, caring service and genuine appreciation
• Supporting team members with the resources to do what’s right for our customers
• Growing Silver Airways: serving more markets across the nation and around the world
• Building our future and a stable, fair return for our shareholders

It's odd that they seem to specialize in the east cost: primarily Florida, the Northeast, and the mid-Atlantic (in addition to the Bahamas) as this is JetBlue's area of focus as well. Their flights don't appear to be especially cheap, but are overall competitive in pricing. I'm not sure I could find a reason to fly Silver over a major airline, but it's nice to know if I did I could pick up a few extra TrueBlue points while I did.

That's All - For Now

For the time being, those are the change-ups to the TB partners. They seem to come and go with little to no notice, so if you see a change please let me know! I try to stay current by checking the JetBlue site often, but it's hard to keep an eye on everything. If you try one of these new partners let me know too! Hopefully badges will update or get added to fit into these new opportunities as well.
