What's New with JetBlue - May 6th

This Week with JetBlue...

JetBlue adds a ton of new flights, flashes some of its corporate structure and annual reporting on charity work, and more!

Corporate Updates

There are some more leadership changes going on over at JetBlue HQ - if you have any investment interest in JetBlue then this will be important information to digest. Seems like a lot of high profile promotions, which is always a good thing (right..?)

JetBlue has also released their annual Responsibility Report, which includes environment impacts, philanthropic endeavors, on-board recycling, and other efforts the airline puts forth to keep the communities they serve in great shape.

New Ways to Spread Their Wings

Some big news came out this past week about routes to out of the US - four new non-stop flights to the Caribbean have been added! You can now jet from Newark and Fort Lauderdale to Santiago, Montego Bay, Port of Spain, and Punta Cana non-stop daily.

Daily flights make traveling to the Caribbean a cinch!
In addition to those international flights, JetBlue has also added a daily route from Orlando to Salt Lake City starting November 12, 2014. Flights will depart Orlando at 8:24PM and arrive in Utah at 11:08PM while passengers boarding in Salt Lake City will leave at 11:59PM and arrive in Florida at 6:21AM.

Upgraded Entertainment

Finally, JetBlue is upgrading its A321 aircrafts with an improved LiveTV experience. The upgraded jets will feature larger 10.1" screens (15.6" for Mint passengers), a Guide channel for television programs, English and Spanish captions for all classic and new content, and two other new features as well. The first A321 equipped with these features was put back into flight on April 28th and the remaining three A321 aircraft will be upgraded by June 2014. I hope I'll get to be on one for my June flight to Colorado!
