JetBlue Joins TSA Pre✓™

Now On Board with the TSA Security Program

While I wrote about JetBlue starting to accept TSA Pre-check™ back in November, at the time only a handful of airports were able to accommodate JetBlue with the expedited screening process. As of this week, however, JetBlue has expanded the program!

More Airports, More Tickets

Originally, JetBlue was only allowing passengers to obtain Pre✓™ boarding passes by using the mobile app to board, but now tickets printed from the airport kiosk or service desk are all eligible for the program. Support for printing tickets from home is still on the roadmap, as well as integrating your trusted traveler account number into your TrueBlue account - for now you will have to enter it prior to checking in.

The list of airports where you can use the TSA's program has also grown, from 22 to 38:

*Checkpoints at EWR, LGA, MSY, SFO, SWF and SJU do not currently have a dedicated TSA Pre™ lane. However, TSA will offer a form of expedited screening to eligible passengers; customers may keep their shoes, belt and light outerwear on, but must remove their laptop and 3-1-1 compliant liquids and gels from their carry-on bags. However, TSA continues to add TSA Pre™ lanes at additional checkpoints  and airports.

This is a big step to JetBlue establishing some roots on more routes and easing travel across the US! Even if you're not registered in the TSA's program, you may still be selected if you qualify as a low risk flyer to take advantage of the speedier way to get through security, so be sure to check your ticket and don't miss out on an opportunity to make your already affordable trip even more enjoyable!
